Shirou Emiya Conquers Gleaming Sky's Contest

Shirou Emiya is one of the strongest combo leader in PAD NA. He has 4x HP & RCV for Light Attribute although he only boosts attack for Fire attribute. This leads to a unique and interesting team building since you'd want all of his subs to have either Fire/Light or Light/Fire attribute to take advantage of both part of his Leader Skill.

His Leader Skill is "4x ATK for Fire attribute; 2x HP & RCV for Light attribute; ATK increases with 4 combo up to 5x ATK at 9 combo"

Getting 9 combo seems hard but his active skill has +3 combo attached to it aside from enhancing all orbs and 1~2 turn haste. Very strong skill.

I'm gonna try using him in the new Solo-only dungeon: Gleaming Sky's Contest - Painting of the Celestial Sky.

Here I just realized that my team only has 80% poison resist. I thought I already cover full poison resist. Well, for sure I'm gonna switch Akantor Mutilator with maybe Agydine, Trojan Horse or PAD Academy Student's Handbook for full poison resist even though I will sacrifice a little bit of blind resist. I'm sure 80% blind resist is fine.

Of all the entire run, the most dangerous floor is of course the Fairy Tale Girls floor when Thumbelina spawns on the left and Red Riding Hood is the other spawns. Shirou doesn't have build in shield so his team took full hit from Thumbelina's 99% gravity.

Gleaming Sky's Contest

Once only available through 3-Players Multiplayer, Gleaming Sky's Contest is now available for Solo play for a limited time. What is this dungeon? If you're familiar with 3P Ultimate Arena, this is similar (people often call this 3P A2 or 3P Arena2). The difference is that you only fight 13 floors/battle instead of 21, enemies have more HP and attack coupled with some annoying mechanics.

What do I need to beat this dungeon?

First of all, you want a full poison resist if you can't defeat a Dragon type enemy with 1 Billions effective HP. That particular floor features Swallowtail (Dragon type) with 100 Millions HP AND casts 90% damage reduction for 2 turns, making it has 1 Billions effective HP. For a team with lots of Dragon Killer, that's an easy task but if you have full poison resist, you can use him as a stalling point.

Why do I need to stall?

Since this is rather short dungeon, skills such as Fujin-type active and attribute absorbs void often doesn't come up by the boss floor. The bosses are Scheat (Balanced & Machine type) and Eschamali (Machine & God type). Scheat requires Fujin because she absorbs damage of 30 millions or more for 30 turns, while Eschamali will absorbs Dark and Light attribute damage for 30 turns. Both has 300 millions and 320 millions HP respectively so depends on your team, you might need a strong enhance along with two aforementioned skills. Regular Fujin needs 19 turns to fully charged so if you use it as an assist, it might not came up if you don't stall a few turns here and there. Both also has 50% resolve on top of that which means you'd need either a board changer or board changer when you use void skills and enhance. They hit pretty hard so you definitely don't want to stall on them unless your team is very tanky and can heal easily.

How about the other enemies?

Most enemies are God, Dragon and Machine type. Your team should have at least one or two subs specialize in killing God, Dragon or Machine. This dungeon also features Fairy Tale Girls (Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Thumbeline, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty). Don't underestimate them. They have annoying and troll mechanics. Red Riding Hood has 60 millions HP and will swap your leader for 1 turn. Snow White has 56 millions HP and 30% resolve while constantly convert Heal to Poison, Thumbelina only has 20 millions HP but she has 90% damage reduction for 3 turns and will do 99% gravity when her 90% damage reduction still active, Cinderella has 40 millions HP and 8 combo shield for 1 turn. If you can't do 9 combo, she will put up 75% damage reduction for 12 turns. Cinderella will also spawns one bomb upon defeat, forcing players to use board changer if they want to get rid of the bomb though with only one bomb, you can detonate it and lose some HP. Sleeping Beauty only has 1 millions HP and 10 millions defense but she will bind all cards for 5 turns as a preemptive. I think the Fairy Tale Girls floor are the most annoying floor. Random two will spawns and it can be a duplicate.

Other notable floor is Floor 7. There's Noah (similar skill sets to Noah in AA), Kaguya-Hime who will throw awoken bind for 3 turns while having a 71% resolve, and Light Xuanzhang who will absorbs Light & Dark damage for 3 turns, and will absorbs damage of 10 millions or more for 10 turns when his attribute absorbs expired.

Then the next floor you have the Grimoire Devils who will super blind the board for 3 turns. They're all having 70+ millions HP each and hit pretty hard, so having a full blind resist will saves you  a lot of time checking each orb and navigating through the blind.

Floor 10 has Sevenzard, Deightros and Ninegaruda. They're all have identical skill sets as their AA counterpart. Not a problem for team with lots of Dragon Killer although you gotta have five Heal orbs when Ninegaruda spawns or use a strong shield to tank his first turn hit if you can't one shot him.

The next floor are all God type enemies. Takeminakata has 124 millions HP and 50% resolve but he doesn't have status shield so he can be delayed or poisoned. Poison and delay skill such as Kralice Rapier comes in handy for him. If you only use delay, he will break out of delay once his resolve is gone. Gaia has 1.6 millions HP and 40 millions defense. Similar in AA, she will prevent either Fire, Water or Wood being matched for 3 turns. She won't prevent Light & Dark to be match but she has 50% passive damage reduction against Light & Dark.

If you successfully passed them, you will be greeted with either Scheat or Eschamali. Unleash your saved skills on them at once!

The final enemy is one type of Snow Globe Dragon and they will drop. It's the only drop you'll ever get from this dungeon. For anyone looking for farming Snow Globe Dragons, this might be a good place to farm them. Shorter than A4 while having comparable Rank EXP upon clearing, this dungeon also costs only 77 stamina. You can't co-op this though. Solo only.

As for me, as usual, I'm trying this with the best girl Valkyrie-CIEL.

Here's my team:

My team is loaded with Dragon and God Killer so no problem when facing those two types of enemies. My only concern is when I face Scheat. I have to grin her HP down to 60% or less but not below 50%, then use Fujin, enhance and board/orb changer to finish her off.

My team has 100% Poison and Blind resist, and 60% jammer resist. Sometime that 60% jammer resist is enough to prevent Cinderella from spawning one bomb. Notable subs are Moogle with his resist awakenings (20% each of Poison, Jammer and Blind resist) and Pralinae who has 3 Devil Killer and 2 God Killer. For Eschamali, I'm using Astraea's skill to voids attribute absorbs while changing the board into Fire/Water/Light/Heal so I can kill her with FUA without needing another orb changer. I only use Arcline (2.5x for Healer for 2 turns) but it was enough. My failed runs are when I made stupid mistakes on the boss, wasting Fujin or Astraea skill. I wish I could show you my failed runs but I didn't recorded them. I thought I did but I didn't.

Anyway... here's my run:

Qilin Tries to Take Revenge on Valkyrie-CIEL

The last time around, Valkyrie-CIEL was able to beat Qilin with Haku (fixed helper) and now Qilin tries to take revenge after training her army. Now they are much more stronger and tougher but Valkyrie-CIEL also has her own advantage by using herself as helper.

Qilin's dungeon now features enemies with buffed HP. They are now having at least five times of their original HP and Qilin herself now has 700 millions HP. Certainly Valkyrie-CIEL task has become much more harder, but she has a secret weapon in place of Pralinae, a Dragon Caller who has two God Killer awakenings. CIEL herself also able to have two God Killer awakenings via Super Awakening but I'm lazy and stick with Dragon Killer for my own CIEL while friend's CIEL has God Killer Super Awakening.

Most enemies are all God type with some of them having Dragon as secondary type so this should ease CIEL's task of beating them up. For the boss, my plan is to one shot them all using only Arcline as enhance. It might be a little sketchy with only 2.5x enhance for Healer but Ishida Mitsunari who got the task of one-shotting Qilin has attribute advantage, two VDP, three Attacker Killer latents and Attaker Killer equip so he's having a personal damage of 20.25 times against Qilin, including attribute advantage. Also, I need two board changer for the boss. One for the Mirror and one for Qilin. The Mirror is an Evolution Material type and friend's CIEL has Puu assist for that sweet Evo Mats Killer equip. Mind you that the Mirror now has 10 millions Defense and 100 millions HP and will put up a 50% damage reduction for 7 turns as preemptive. Meaning now it has 200 millions effective HP and 20 millions effective Defense. That's one tough Mirror. The two board changer I used for the bosses are Ilm (non Mega version) for the Mirror and Avalon Drake for Qilin.

My team actually needs some stalling due to not having enough SB for those skills to be up by the boss floor. I need at least three more turns and the place that's safe for stalling is Sakuya and Haku. I definitely can not stall on Karin or Meimei since Karin will swap my leader for 3 turns and Meimei will cast a massive skill delay on her first turn. I also need to use friend's CIEL on Meimei since her preemptive flooded the board with Heal orbs.

I was surprised that the run took quite fast. Aside from the three turns stalling I mentioned above, I could one shot all floors including the bosses despite having only Arcline (2.5x for Healer for 2 turns) as enhance. Perhaps if I could swap Rushana for a Tengu or Whaledor, I don't have to stall anywhere and the run will be much shorter?

Qilin Descended v.2.0

Qilin Descended makes another appearance. This time, as "usual" dungeon available for Solo and Multiplayer whereas the first appearance was with forced, fixed Helper and available only for Solo play. For players looking to max skill Qilin, stamina cost will make a big difference. One thing though that all enemies in the dungeon have been significantly buffed with 10 times and more HP.

I'm gonna show you how to farm this dungeon, in Multiplayer mode, with two teams. First one is my trusted Zeus Verse and the second one is the non-optimal Kaede-Mega Sylvie pairing.

Zeus Verse Team

What you need to know is that all enemies leading to the boss are God type, so any God killing cards should be used. I'm using No.6, Reincarnated Archdemon Lucifer, Fenrir Viz and Mega Sherias Roots. They cover Dark, Fire, Water and Light attributes so even without orb or board change, there won't be any orb troll.

The tricky part is battling Meimei in Floor 3. She changes 15 non-Heal orbs into Heal so there's big chance that you wont' have any attacking orbs on board. This is why I have to utilize pass since Team A can only carry two board changers to defeat 1st, 3rd and 5th floor. Also, I have to make sure that Ishida Mitsunari's assist won't come up. I have to count my SB carefully. If you're copying my build, you should have follow it to the letter of having the exact Skill Boost, or at least using assist with the same effect (including haste). Otherwise, the run might be over when Ishida Mitsunari's assist (Masamune Blade) comes up.

Kaede - Mega Sylvie Team

This isn't an optimal team. The optimal team to use Dios armada is by using double Kaede, but I don't have Kaede on my other account so I gotta make it work with what I had. The idea is to utilize Dios full Wood board and Indigo assist to split Dios' board into two Wood combo to activate both Leader Skills. Kaede requires two Wood combo while Mega Sylvie requires matching 6 or more connected Wood orbs.

There are times when the split Dios board isn't enough. That's when battling Sakuya in Floor 4. She is a God and Healer type, has around 40 millions HP and 75% damage reduction for 4 turns. Meaning she has an effective HP of 160 millions. I have to make two Wood combo with one being a huge blob containing one row by moving the locked Water & Dark orbs. I have to be careful because if those Water and Dark orbs are matched, the run is over. Another floor where I have to do the exact same thing is when battling Qilin's mirror. Qilin herself died with one VDP and one wood combo (doesn't have to be a Wood row).

The most optimal team to use double Kaede is by having one Zela on each team. One that will kill Qilin should be the row form that has VDP. The other one can be the 7c form since she only being used for her board and +combo skill.

All in all, I prefer to run this dungeon with Zeus Verse even though it will took slightly longer due to combo-ing some boards but it's very safe.

Here's my run for those two teams:

Hera-Luna propaganda

Some of you who doesn't get Hera-Luna from the Super Godfest REM maybe a little hesitant to trade your Spring Fest Medal for her because she seems like the worst of the three cards available for exchange. Well, you're not wrong but it's not completely true either. She isn't the worst of the three. Each has its own strength and weakness. Let me break it down to you.

Echidna-SARA

She has the most ATK multiplier of the three at 13.5x for single leader and 182.25x for double leader. She has built in shield and requires only four Fire orbs for full activation, but to me she seems a step down from Madoo. Both boosts Fire attribute cards but Madoo can activate on any board, doesn't need a specific orbs to get a shield and has superior ATK multiplier. SARA has better awakenings for specific type of enemies due to her typings and she has Physical and Dragon Killer awakening to starts off with whereas Madoo has three TPA for overall enemies. From VDP standpoint, SARA is better because of her awakenings alone.

SARA does have disadvantages, mainly she doesn't have HP multiplier and requires specific amount of orbs to get a shield. You might be thinking it's easy to get four Fire orbs on a natural board. Yes, but only when enemies doesn't do any stupid mechanics such as specific orbs skyfall makes it hard to get four Fire orbs to get a shield. Without HP multiplier, her team would rely on shield active skill to survive some big preemptive hits such as AA1/AA2 Goemon, AA1 DQ Hera, AA2 Tsubaki and Diara. Worth noting that she also doesn't have RCV boost like Madoo does, meaning at times, healing can be an issue of its own depends on subs on the team.

Ancient Dragon Knight-REX

He looks like the compromise of the three. Lower ATK multiplier than SARA but higher than LUNA, same 4x HP as LUNA. He needs to use active skill for full activation. You might be thinking of using Tardis for that occasion but you don't have to, especially for someone who doesn't own Tardis. If you don't have Tardis, you can still fully activating him by cycling his skill (assuming double REX leader) since when max skilled, his skill only takes two turn to fully charged so you can cycle his skill for full activation.. You don't need to own Tardis if you want to play him. In fact, I think having Tardis on the team would be a dead weight. Tardis doesn't have any offensive awakenings. His only advantage on REX team is his three Team RCV++ awakenings to make healing easier, but I gotta tell you that even with three Team RCV++, healing is hard without subs with Heart OE. It's better to use both REX's skill for full activation. His active also cleans any unlocked hazard orbs while adding move time.

His disadvantage, as well as other 4x HP lead without RCV multiplier, is healing. Take Valkyrie-CIEL for example. Same 4x HP, same ATK multiplier, same built in Time Extend on Leader Skill and both doesn't have built in shield, but CIEL has slight advantage when it comes to healing that she needs Healer as subs, and Healers are famous for their huge RCV. Even with 7-8 thousands RCV, sometimes it's hard healing to full after taking a gravity. Now imagine doing that on a team with worse RCV and you get my point.

His advantage is that he takes Dragon subs which means REX team will have huge HP. Dragons are famous for their huge HP although you would want to use Green dragons as his subs such as Odin Dragon, Ragnarok Dragon, Sylvie, Kaede and so on. It's very common that a REX team will have more than 180k HP without HP++ badge and over 200k with HP++ badge. Green also has the most versatile and strong dragon subs as I mentioned above. Odin Dragon and Ragnarok Dragon are two of the most used subs on any team that can take both. Odin Dragon provides full bind and awoken bind clear while healing whereas Ragnarok Dragon is a very strong God killer subs with a maximum of 30.375x of personal ATK multiplier against God type enemies (half the amount of that when the enemy has Fire main attribute). You won't have any trouble finding a sub for him. His awakenings also very very good. Two 7c, two TPA and two Skill Boost while being bind proof. You'd want to make Wood TPA every turn so that he can achieve maximum damage. He can be the main source of damage so you can field his team with necessary utilities.

Divine Queen Hera-LUNA

I might be slightly biased towards her because I like her art better than SARA or REX, but I think she is way underrated just because she has far lower ATK multiplier. Does she? Theoretically, yes. With only 64x ATK multiplier, it's very very low by today's standard. People seems like don't want to play any leader with ATK multiplier lower than 225x. They want to breeze through the hardest contents. It's acceptable but by doing that, sooner or later you will be bored because there's no challenge. If the reason is just to farm the dungeon, sure it's okay but why not taking a challenge for your own once in a while?

Enter Hera-LUNA. Low ATK multiplier won't stop her from clearing end game contents. I've seen a video of her team beating AA2, currently considered to be the most difficult and annoying dungeon in PAD for now.

What makes her so special? For starter, she has 4x buff to all stats. ALL STATS. Meaning her team gets 4x HP and 4x RCV. Healing is very easy, even after taking gravity. Mostly, her team only needs two Heal combo to heal to full HP after taking gravity hit. Her low ATK multiplier can be easily overcome by offensive awakenings. Remember Sonia Fio and Sonia Clea? Both have lower ATK multiplier than LUNA but they're able to clear almost anything the game has to offer at that time. LUNA's own strength comes from her three HP-depended ATK buff awakenings. Depends on her evo, the base has three >80% ATK+ while the evo form has <50% ATK+. For now, I'm gonna focus on her evo form, the one with <50% ATK+.

She takes Devil type cards as her subs. Devil only. Being a Dark attribute, it's a given that her team would comprised of Dark, Devil type cards. You won't have any problem finding a sub for her since almost all great and strong Devil type cards are Dark. You want 7c subs? There are Nohime, Awoken Uranus, uevo Hiei, Gore Magala, Dark Reeche, Amamiya Ren, Allatu, Dark Cotton and so on. You want 10c subs? Well, sadly only a few cards with 10c but you can find 10c Dark Devil subs in place of Kage (free to obtain) and Dark Ra Dragon (obtainable from Monster Exchange). You want VDP subs? Base Veroah, Hiei, Gore Magala, Vega, Bison, Evil Ryu, Geim (free to obtain from Shinranbansho Collab), Awoken Lumiel, Lajoa, pixel Iori Yagami, pixel Leona Haidern, pixel Sephiroth and may more. The one thing that Dark Devil type lacking is a Dragon Killer sub. AFAIK, only one Dark Devil card who has two Dragon Killer and that is Sigma from Shinrabansho Collab. A 6* nonetheless meaning it's hard to pull her. All the other Dark Devil type only have one Dragon Killer awakening. What Dark Devil cards shines are God killing duty. It's just so easy to find Dark Devil God-Killer subs. It's like snapping your fingers. Just like that. Even a farmable or free to obtained ones are very strong such as Gilles Legato, Dwarf Inside the Flask, Sargatanas and Hera-Nyx. Being a Devil type, of course they also able to use additional God Killer latents.

What Hera-LUNA excels at is her move time and healing power. 15 seconds as base move time is kinda overkill but it made even new player able to fully activate her LS. Move time debuff is no more a threat. Even with halved move time, more often her team will have 7-9x of move time. 4x RCV is no joke either and even most often you will find Devil type cards have crappy RCV, healing is still a breeze unless you're using Satan as sub. What this means? LUNA"s low ATK multiplier requires specific circumstances to kill a certain enemy. Whether it's by having specific amount of orbs, dropping HP to lower threshold to activate her offensive awakenings or needing a certain active skills. To achieve all of that, stalling is needed and LUNA is very very good at stalling due to her massive RCV. Heals 20,000 HP with only one single Heal combo, her team can fully heal with only two Heal combo and clearing the board. When an enemy doesn't have an execution hit on a timer such as AA1 Hashihime or AA2 Tsumire/Kaede, her team would never be in danger. Also, with 4x HP, it's very common to find 170k HP at minimum without using HP++ badge. When it comes to HP to RCV ratio, LUNA is better than Emiya Shirou. Both offers 4x HP and 4x RCV but LUNA's team get that with just by being a Devil whereas Shirou's team has to be a Fire/Light or Light/Fire to have both HP and RCV buff.

Stalling sounds boring? Yes, sometimes but knowing that your lower ATK multiplier is able to kill enemies with huge HP is a satisfying in its own way. With other more powerful leader you can say "Yeah sure you should be able to one shot. It's a given. You're doing something wrong if you don't" but with LUNA you will say "How can you one shot with only 64x ATK multiplier?"

So, what is her best team looks like? We're talking about end game contents here so you would want at least one sub with multiple 7c such as Hiei, Nohime, Awoken Uranus, then a utility such as delay (easily achieved with assist if you don't have Dark Athena), certain type killer subs and VDP subs. Both Hera-LUNA can do tremendous amount of damage, even surpassing uevo Hiei when her team's HP is 50% or lower because she has higher ATK stats. You know Mega Awoken Dark Metatron? You can play LUNA just like DMeta. Drop the HP to a certain HP, sweep the floor and move on. With huge HP, LUNA doesn't need active shield to tank big preemptive hits in AA1 or AA2. LUNA's team biggest threat as well as most 4x HP leaders without built in shield is Hera-Nyx's first turn hit in Arena5 and AA2 Sadalmelik. 99% gravity followed by moderate hit will end all 4x HP team without built in shield. They needs shield active or one shot. Her team also needs to one shot Rushana )or sacrificing a slot to have a non-Devil subs capable of clearing bind and awoken bind such as Odin Dragon) whenever she appears as potential enemy. Awakening bind followed by binding all Devil type cards for 10 turns will end LUNA's team.

It's very easy to kill an enemy with 50 millions HP (if not more, depends on their type) with a team full of offensive awakenings. Even with her low ATK multiplier. Her team doesn't even need awoken bind clear most of the time since it can be stalled out safely. Only need awoken bind clear if a certain enemy poses a threat either by erasing Heal every other turn or binding important subs for long after awakening bind.

So, please if you have LUNA or haven't made your decision about trading your Spring Fest Medal, look at your box and see whether you have good subs for her and trade your Medal for her. She is a helluva fun to play. If you have a hard time finding friend who has her, send me an invite: 364,010,485. I will have her up for next week or so and I will put her up again whenever someone want her up.

This is my prove that she is very good and durable:

How to clear Training Arena reliably

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

Considered to be one of the hardest dungeon when it first came out, with the right team(s) it can be cleared very reliably. Why do I have to clear it over and over (farming)? It's because this dungeon is the only dungeon that gives 6 millions Monster EXP upon clearing. The Rank EXP isn't that great for the stamina spent but the sole purpose of this dungeon is to level up a limit-broken cards and leveled them up to level 110. Compared to running Arena4 or Alt. Arena2, this dungeon is shorter and far easier. It's in Normal Dungeon category so there are no preemptives of any kind.

Even better with current event that grants 1.5x of normal Monster EXP each time you clear the dungeon so any card needs to be leveled up will receives 9 millions Monster EXP!

What do you need to do in order to farm it? The most important thing is to have:

  • God killing sub
  • Devil killing sub
  • Awaken Material killer
  • Two board changer
  • Enhance and
  • Defense Break skill

The most popular leader to farm this dungeon is Zeus GIGA. Not only he has impressive ATK multiplier (256x ATK multiplier for double Zeus GIGA), but his skill covers the Two board changer needed.

What if I don't have Zeus GIGA? Don't worry! You can use Zeus Verse, which is farmable (meaning everyone can have him) but you have to pair him with Zeus GIGA since Zeus Verse's skill won't be usable. Another important thing when using Zeus Verse is that you lose one board changer so you gotta have another board changer whether as an assist or sub.

The most important sub for both teams is Pralinae. Why? Because she has the perfect awakenings to obliterates almost all enemies in this dungeon. Pralinae has two of God and Devil killer and able to obtain another Devil killer with Super Awakening. She also able to use Attacker Killer latents needed to kill the Chinese Gods (Battle 9) quickly. Can it be replaced? Yes and no. For double Zeus GIGA team, you can use Mega Sherias Roots as God Killer and Superman as Devil Killer subs. Mega Sherias Roots has three God Killer and Superman has one Devil Killer with an option of another Devil Killer as Super Awakening and able to use Devil Killer latents. Both are Light attribute so they will works in both Zeus Verse/GIGA or double Zeus GIGA team.

Another team that can farm this reliably is, of course, Best Girl Valkyrie-CIEL. Her team will also needs Pralinae in God and Devil killing duty. Having 4x HP makes her team able to take one or two hits from most enemies without the risk of dying, unlike both Zeus team. Both Zeus team can't take any hit since both works best when team's HP is at full. They hit like a wet toilet paper when not at full HP.

For Awakening Material killer (to kill King Tamadra and Latents Tamadra in the final battle), Dragon Katana is the perfect equip because it has two Awaken Material killers that makes any card hit for 9x against any Tamadra. It's farmable so anyone can make it.

For board changer, double Zeus GIGA team won't have to worry since both leader covers that part but for Verse/GIGA and CIEL team, you can use any bicolor board with Light such as Ilm, Ilmina, Avalon Drake, Yog-Sothoth, Sheena, Yusuke or Mega Sylvie. Put them as sub or assist but make sure they will come up by the 10th floor.

For enhance, I used Carat for Verse/GIGA and CIEL team, and Hashihime for double GIGA team. Why Hashihime? It's because I don't have Carat on that account. Hashihime works as good as Carat though. Just gotta stack Enhanced Light Attribute (Light row) awakenings that can be achieved by using either Rathios, Unnamed Blade or Emperor Thundersword equip.

As for DEF Break skill, there are many cards that has this skill. Not to be confused with the wording on the Skill portion of the card, you want to use a skill that "Reduces enemy defense to 0", not "Greatly reduces enemy defense for x turn". Cards like Kaname Hagiri (fastest DEF break without suicide), Kazuma Kuwabara, Balboa, Julie and Shiva can be used.

CIEL team will need a sub that has many Skill Boost so needed skills will come up in time. Whaledor, Tengu, Orpharion or Valeria can be used even though they aren't a Healer type but their sole purpose is to provide Skill Boost while the damage will be handled by both CIEL and Pralinae.

This is the team I used for double Zeus GIGA:

This is the team I used for Verse/GIGA:

That Plessie-Bean on both teams supposed to be the card needed to be leveled up.

This is the Best Girl Valkyrie-CIEL team I used:

Note that Rushana is the card that I want to level up so she can be anything.

PADX has the dungeon info if you need it.

Here's video of my runs with the teams above:

Spring Fest Arena - Battle of the GodFest

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

We have a new dungeon called Spring Fest Arena that will be available for only 77 hours. How difficult it is? Well, for players with developed cards in their monster box, it shouldn't be too difficult. It's like Arena 3 difficulty without PreDra and Radar Dragons. Most enemies except the boss have only less than 10 millions HP, which by today's standard is fair and the boss has 153 millions HP. The boss is unique. It's Ancient Dragon Knight-REX, a new addition to the Fest Exclusive 7* (along with Echidna-SARA and Hera-LUNA).

One thing to note is that for teams without HP multiplier, the boss most likely will end your run if you leave him with 80% or more HP on the first turn of his attack. He will hit you for 64,575 damage when he has 80% or more HP (similar to Kali in Arena 1-3 with lower execution hit). He also puts up an 8 combo shield for 1 turn so you have to do 9 combo and get him past 80% HP to evade his execution hit. Good thing is that, like Kali, he doesn't have damage absorbs or damage void so you can just hit him with 20% or more gravity then do 0 combo to survive. For teams with HP multiplier it would be easier since most can tank hit hit.

Other things to note is that this dungeon also features enemies with resolves, Beelzebub (full poison board preemptive) and Herme-Ra (makes 13 poisons as preemptive) so the best approach to run this dungeon is to have full poison resist or have a board changer and unlocker ready for those two. The resolve enemies, depends on your team, might or might not be dangerous. Sha Wujing will kill you if you leave him with 1 HP and your team doesn't have any shield on (gravity and moderate hit when leave with 1 HP) but he can be delayed or poisoned.

If you have run Arena 3, I'd say bring your team that capable of clearing Arena 3 without much trouble with full poison resist. The boss has two types: Dragon and Machine. So if you have a card/sub that can deal huge damage to those two type, bring it. You might need a +combo skill to bypass his 8 combo shield though.

For this run, I decided to pit REX against his God Fest Exclusive comrade: Best Girl Valkyrie-CIEL.

My team is loaded with so many Dragon Killer so it will have no mercy to Dragons. Also, with some Grodin equip, Typhon Avatar of Destruction Card and Sleipnir assist, my team can reach more than 180,000 with 15% Team HP badge. That's pretty big for a Healer team. Even with 4x HP from CIEL, it's very rare to see CIEL team with more than 170k HP without two or three Light Ideal subs.

Overall, this dungeon isn't that difficult for high ranked players. For lower rank players though, I'd suggest bring your strongest team, have a full poison resist and bring a +combo (and an enhance if necessary) for the boss. If you can farm this reliably, you could level up some limit-broken cards in your box since each clear will give you 7 millions Monster EXP (not to be confused with Rank EXP).

Anyway, here's my run. Enjoy!

Having fun with Date Masamune

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

So I just got this guy from the RemDra Fever reward mail that will get you a guaranteed 7* card. Mind you that they're not always a 7* base. Many are getting evolved 5* base pantheon cards while the lucky ones getting 7* Fest Exclusive cards such as Zeus GIGA, Valkyrie CIEL, Echidna SARA, Zela, Madoo and many more.

Looking at his Leader Skill, first thing I noticed is that he is a far better Rank EXP multiplier leader to date. The other leader that has such capability are Scholarly God of Wealth Building, Ganesha and Great Witch of the Unexplored Region, Saline. Ganesha comes with similar 1.5x Rank EXP with the addition of getting 1.5x Coins when entering a dungeon as leader. Saline is the best for Rank EXP gain because of her 1.8x Rank EXP multiplier when entering a dungeon as leader. Ganesha doesn't have any ATK multiplier while Saline boosts 2x ATK for Light attributes. For easy dungeon, Ganesha and Saline is okay but for harder dungeon you'd need a better ATK multiplier to clear the dungeon. Comes the Samurai God 3 Series pantheons. All cards from the series have 1.5x Rank EXP multiplier clause in their Leader Skill while having a fair 6x ATK and 25% damage reduction when attacking with two attributes corresponds to their main and sub attributes.

36x ATK seems decent and could see some use for harder contents. We've seen leader such as Sonia Fio and Sonia Clea with 25x ATK multiplier (essentially a 56.25x ATK when counting their 1.5x all stats to Dragon) clearing many top dungeons such as Alt Arena and the likes.

So, I decided to try this guy out in Ultimate Descended Rush - Gathering of Talents 2. This is perfect because as of right now, we have an event where we get 6x Rank EXP when clearing Ultimate Descended Rush (both the 50 or 99 stamina dungeon).

His Leader Skill favors heavily on Wood or Dark cards because he needs Wood and Dark to achieve his ATK multiplier and damage reduction. My team comprise of Date Masamune as Leader, Odin Dragon Light Lance Form, Green Cotton, Uevo Cronus and Beach Fujin. There are many possible spawns with varying mechanics in UDR1/2 so I built my team to be able to resist poison, can clear awoken bind and normal bind, do some decent damage and can get past either Sopdet or Hanuman. I had many quits in this dungeon thanks to my stupidity of not bringing Fujin and met with Hanuman as boss. While technically I could stall out his 99 turns of damage absorbs, it would be a huge time sink so I just quit lol.

The problem (especially in NA server and you have no dupe) is that you will have a hard time finding a mirror leader to use for non-meta leader such as this one. Almost all of players have meta cards in their first and third slot. I could ask for some of my Best Friends to see if they have him but it'd take some time so I decided to pair Date Masamune with Vraska the Unseen (from Magic the Gathering Collab) who has compatible Leader Skill, in which she also boosts Wood attributes and needs Wood and Dark attacking at the same time for maximum multiplier.

Seems like not right paring Date Masamune with Vraska, but, eh... it is what it is. Vraska has better ATK multiplier (x12 compared to x6) but she doesn't have any Rank EXP multiplier so with the 6x Rank EXP in UDR I will only get 9x Rank EXP when clearing the dungeon with Date Masamune as leader as supposed to 13.5x when using double Date Masamune lead.

My other account actually pulled a card from the series but they don't mix. It pulled Tokugawa Ieyasu who boosts Dark and Light cards.

Anyway, enjoy the video:

New ways to get lots of +Points: Super +Points Cave

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

With the addition of Super Awakenings, +Points is now needed not only to adding stats to a card but also to get Super Awakening. With three to five option, getting one Super Awakening that you want can be a hug tax to your +points bank. If you're lucky you can get it with only one try. If you're unlucky, you can spent a thousands of +points and still won't get the Super Awakening you wanted.

In the past, ways to get +points are from Star Treasure's Thieves Den (+10 maximum for 25 stamina in Multiplayer), +30 dungeons (decent +points per stamina especially when being done in Multiplayer), +99 Star Treasure's of the Night Sky (Solo only, the best place to get +points in Solo mode. Costs 99 stamina in 6 floors), +21 Shynee PAL Egg Machine (the best place to get +Points but it rarely comes. Maybe twice or three times a year. Save your PAL Points and blow them all on this Egg Machine if you can), +30 bonus when clearing 3P Gleaming Sky's Contest, and +50 when clearing 3P Cataclysmic Dragon Rush.

Those doesn't seem to be enough so they added another dungeon where we can farm +Points more efficiently: +Points Cave and Super +Points Cave. For now, only the +Points Cave will be available at all time from the Special/Bonus section while the Super +Points will be available as a rogue dungeon. Super +Points Cave can get you a random +Points ranging from +64 all the way to +110 for 99 stamina (50 stamina in Multiplayer). Super +Points Cave trumps all other dungeons in terms of stamina/+points efficiency and it's not hard. Only five floor that can be buttoned whether you're doing it solo or multiplayer.

Don't forget to check your LTD button inside the game for the schedule:

Gore Magala clears Alt Ultimate Arena - Alt. Bipolar Goddess

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

For the past few days, I've spending my time and stamina trying to clear Alt. Ultimate Arena - Alt. Bipolar Goddess with my new shiny toy: Gore Magala. I see he has great potential so I was building a team for him. The only downside when building a team for him is that Gore Magala buffs only Dark cards, needs at least four attributes for activation, and he doesn't even have one. So, all of his subs needs to cover all attributes. If you just focus on four, say, only cover Fire, Water, Wood and Dark, there's a chance that you may not get that one orb needed to activate his shield. Gore Magala also doesn't have damage control. His shield is tied to matching four attributes so you can't have shield without dealing some damage.

Initially, I had this cards as subs for him: Gilles Legato, Nergigante, Reincarnated Archdemon Lucifer and Akantor. After a few failed runs, I realize I don't need that much God Killer on the team. Gilles Legato is more than enough and Lucifer doesn't do much on non-God enemies so I replace him with Kulia. Remember that Dragonbound/Dragon Caller card you're all hate because she just keeps popping out of the machine? She has some use so having a habit of not selling anything lower than four dupes paid a dividend. I could have different Super Awakenings and different latents.

Kulia has lower HP than Lucifer but in her current level, she only loses a few hundred to Lucifer. It may be big for some spawns or it may be nothing. What she lacks in HP, she makes up in damage. Two 7c deals respectable damage to all enemies. Her skill also has the same CD as Lucifer while being much more useful.

Some of you may be wondering why I didn't use Hiei on the team. He's a powerful sub of course but Akantor, who covers Fire/Dark, same as Hiei, has much more HP and his damage isn't shy either. High ATK, double 7c, huge HP and low CD is perfect for the team. Plus, I can be a little cocky and said that I need the challenge, am I not? LOL

After building a team, scrambling some Training Arena runs to level up some cards, I'm ready to take this bad boy into AA, but unfortunately no one in my friend list has him up. Refreshing the game over and over again did nothing so I sent a message to all of my active Best Friend, asking if they have Gore Magala and willing to put him up for a couple of days. One day later, I have some Gore Magala up. Thanks to all of my Best Friend who helped me!

Of course my run wasn't smooth as silk. Had some deaths because of many things such as orb troll, wrong spawns but most of them are just me being stupid. A total of six loses isn't that bad. I actually expected more than that.

In my successful run, I had Gaia (which isn't a problem even though she prohibits Water orbs from being matched, Raguel (awoken bind, easy stalling), Shiva (not a problem), Camael (slight hiccups stalling his awoken bind and eventually did too much damage he started to change the board into Fire/Wood/Heal/Poison. Even though I had 80% Poison Resist, it's like they said: 80% equals 0%. Surprisingly, his board combined with Kulia's skill makes for a pre-made 7 combo board with needed attributes to fully activates Gore Magala's LS.

Next enemy is Lifive. He's okay. Big preemptive hit but my team was able to tank it. Ninegaruda would end this run because I only have four Heal orbs leaving Camael's floor. Then I did the stupid thing (again, not surprisingly) using Gore Magala just to convert one poison orb (leftover from Camael's board) into Dark, not thinking that I'd need it if Hera-Sowilo is the next spawn. You know what? The game seems to read my mind and sent Hera-Sowilo... Ughhh...

Some stalling but skyfall pushed her HP too much she started to put up 8 combo shield and unfortunately the board only has 7 combo. No luck on the skyfall on that and for the next few turns but eventually those Skyfall Gods took pity on me and gives me tons of skyfall to finish her off.

The next two big pre-boss aren't a big deal. Light Metatron and Light Kali which are just a yummy meal for Dark team. Carat enhance made that far easy.

I had some other Monster Hunter cards I wanted to try but I think I'd stopped here (well, maybe I'll try one more card or maybe I won't we'll see). I spent so many +points to build his team and would like to gain them back.

Dark Ra Dragon added to permanent addition in Monster Exchange

Greeting, fellow PAD players!

We just got a new download data and PADX confirmed that it was Dark Ra Dragon. It's the same time as JP. They made Dark Ra Dragon a permanent addition to Monster Exchange. What's the cost to get one? Well, since he was initally available only from real-life gacha where you buy a box of Monster Memory to be used in PAD Radar. This is the first time for PAD that they made a real-life gacha card available for exchange. To get one, you have to trade three Black Event Medal for him. To get one Black Event Medal, you need to exchange five Rainbow Event Medals, so you need 15 Rainbow Event Medals to get Dark Ra Dragon. Quite a steep price but it is what it is.

Is he worth it? He may or may not. Let's see his capability first.

His Leader Skill is "1.5x All Stats for Devil type; 2x ATK when matching 4 attributes (3 + Heal) up to 9x ATK when matching 5 attributes + Heal"

Pretty strong Leader Skill even though he needs Devil type only as sub but NA has many powerful Devil type who can support him such as Gore Magala (full Awoken and Bind clear), Diablos, Azathoth (farmable DKali board with high stats especially in Multiplayer), Reeche (the Blue or Dark from REM), Mega Awoken Paimon and many more.

The hardest thing building a team for him is to cover all attributes. Dark Ra Dragon has all Dark attributes so you will need to cover the other four attributes without each sub's skill preventing activation of his Leader Skill. The good thing is he still can deal some damage with only matching 3 attributes and Heal.

Noticeable thing compared to modern Leader is that he has no shield built into his Leader Skill, but he got quite big HP to make up for it. Can use Alphonse Elric, Enoch or Phoenix Rider, Valen, Hysferzen or Sherespada assist when you need some shield.

Personally, I will get him as a new toy to play with. I may not have ideal team for him but he could be fun. Plus, it's a good way to dump all those Rainbow Medals hogging my box.

Good luck to you all planning to get him and don't forget to have fun.

See you next time!
