October 2019 Quest Challenge Level 10 - No Skyfall Combos

This challenge is pretty hard. No skyfall combo rule makes it even harder because there's an enemy with 7 combo shield and other enemies with nasty preemptives.

I will try this dungeon with a team like this:

  • Leader is Yuna, bind proof super awakening, Dorothy's Silver Shoes equip and three Dragon Killer latents.
  • First sub is Mega Awoken Fenrir Viz, 7c super awakening, Carat assist and two God Killer latents.
  • Second sub is Rushana with PAD Academy Student's Handbook equip.
  • Third sub is Superman, Devil Killer super awakening and three Devil Killer latents.
  • Last sub is Libertas, bind proof super awakening and Kralice Rapier equip.
  • Friend helper is Yuna, bind proof super awakening, Woodshost Spear, Misteltein equip and three Dragon Killer latents.

15% RCV badge used in this run.

The purpose of friend Yuna having Misteltein equip is to erase first battle Seraphis' locked orb skyfall. Even though I don't have any orb or board changer, I feel safe knowing that there aren't any locked orbs on the board.

First battle is Seraphis. 50% resolve, 50% damage reduction for 5 turns, locked orb skyfall for 10 turns while taking half damage from dark damage. Since it's no skyfall dungeon, I have to rely on the skyfall to give me five heal orbs to make FUA. I could erase his locked orb skyfall with any Light or Water L-match.

Second battle is Awoken Hestia. She absorbs two random attributes for 1 turn as a preemptive. I won't know which ones she will absorbs. That's why I brought Libertas on my team. Libertas skill allows me to bypass her attribute absorbs. Even though Hestia has pretty big HP at 80 millions, Fenrir Viz with his God Killers should be able to handle her.

Third battle is Reincarnated Homura. The same Homura that can be found in Alt. Bipolar Goddess. 76% resolve, 4 combo shield and voids damage of 5 millions or more. Usually it's pretty safe to just make normal combo without FUA since most of my attack will gets blocked and only few will gets through. He hits pretty hard and he also has gravity skill so beware and make sure you can heal up after taking his damage or gravity. Once you pushed him past 50% HP, he will puts up 75% damage reduction. This is the chance to do some damage to him since his 75% shield makes his daamge void shield goes up to 20 millions.

Fourth battle is Claymore. He has daamge absorb skill for 5 turns. You can delay him since he doesn't put up any status shield preemptive, but he will put up a status shield on his second turn while changing his attribute to Fire. He won't attack you on his second turn, so, technically you only have to stall for four turns of his damage absorbs, that is if you can't fit a dealy or daamge absorb void skill on your team. He hits quite hard but he will also gives you some heal orbs the next turn so it's safe to stall his damage absorb shield.

Fifth battle is Takenimakata. A God/Physical type enemy with 15 millions HP, 2 turn attack CD but he will puts up a 90% damage reduction for 6 turns while having a 7 combo shield. This is the battle that you will have to rely on RNG. Even if you use board changer, there's no guarantee that you will have 8+ combo board unless you use +combo skill. Him being a God type shouldn't be a problem for Fenrir Viz when I have 8+ combo board with Light or Dark orbs presents.

The boss is Halloween Myne. 176 millions HP and 75% damage reduction makes her HP shoots up to 700+ millions. She will also greatly reduces your move time for 15 turns. That's why I have Rushana on my team, with PAD Academy Student's Handbook equip, to erase her time debuff. I also have to make sure that my Carat enhance is ready by the time I got to Myne's floor. Her being a Dragon/Devil type is a perfect sandbag for Superman with his many Devil Killers.

Good luck and have fun. See you next time!
